Dr. Stanley Ushe currently serves as the Field Strategy Coordinator (FSC) for the Africa East Field (formerly Horn of Africa) Field in the Church of the Nazarene.
He officially assumed this leadership role on January 1, 2023 following his appointment on November 14, 2022 by Global Missions Director Verne Ward upon the recommendation of Africa Regional Director Daniel Gomis and in consultation with Jurisdictional General Superintendent Eugénio Duarte. Dr. Ushe succeeds Dr. Musa Kunene.
With a ministry spanning over three decades across multiple countries and districts Dr. Ushe brings a wealth of pastoral administrative and missionary experience.
He is known for his effectiveness in evangelism, church planting, children’s ministry and leadership development as well as his ability to lead in cross-cultural and complex contexts.
Early Life and Call to Ministry

Pastoral and Leadership Ministry
- 1992–1996: Pastor, Kwekwe Church of the Nazarene, Zimbabwe
- 1996–2003: Moved to South Africa; planted and pastored New Creation Church of the Nazarene on the RSA Eastern District for 7 years
- 2003: Appointed District Superintendent (DS) Highveld District
- 2004–2022: Appointed District Superintendent RSA KwaZulu Natal District serving for 18 years

Rev Stanley and Grace Ushe are both ordained elders in the Church of the Nazarene. And served in a cross-cultural context and demonstrated great conflict management and leadership skills. Both are passionate for evangelism, church planting, children’s ministry and leadership development.
